Senior Level
Lead the planning, development, and customisation of websites using WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Framer, and other approved platforms based on project requirements.
Oversee the development of responsive, accessible, and high-performing websites that deliver a consistent experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
Design and implement scalable website architectures, themes, templates, custom functionality, and third-party integrations while balancing client requirements, technical feasibility, and project budgets.
Serve as the primary technical point of contact for assigned clients, participating in meetings, providing project updates, answering technical questions, and building strong long-term client relationships.
Communicate technical concepts, limitations, risks, and recommendations in clear, simple language that non-technical clients and stakeholders can easily understand.
Work closely with project managers, designers, SEO specialists, and developers to translate business goals and UI/UX designs into effective technical solutions.
Lead technical discovery sessions, contribute to solution planning, and provide practical recommendations that align with both business objectives and technical best practices.
Review, optimise, and maintain clean, secure, and well-documented code that follows industry best practices and internal development standards.
Lead technical troubleshooting, identify root causes of issues, and provide practical solutions while supporting the team in resolving complex development challenges.
Mentor and guide junior developers through code reviews, technical feedback, knowledge sharing, and structured coaching to improve overall team capability.
Plan technical implementation, estimate development effort, identify project risks early, and recommend improvements to timelines, workflows, and development processes.
Ensure websites are optimised for performance, SEO best practices, security, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
Maintain organised documentation, technical specifications, deployment records, and development standards to support efficient collaboration and knowledge management.
Manage development progress through ClickUp, Slack, Google Workspace, Box, Git, and other approved tools, ensuring tasks, dependencies, and milestones remain up to date.
Coordinate deployments, testing, bug fixes, and post-launch support while maintaining quality assurance throughout the development lifecycle.
Complete deliverables within agreed timelines while maintaining high technical quality and proactively communicating risks, blockers, and progress.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by evaluating new technologies, frameworks, and development practices that can benefit the team and clients.
When identifying a technical challenge, present well-researched recommendations with one or more viable solutions, clearly outlining trade-offs, implementation effort, and business impact rather than only reporting the problem.
Additional Leadership Expectations
Demonstrate excellent written and spoken English with the confidence to lead client meetings, present technical recommendations, and facilitate productive discussions with international stakeholders.
Build trusted client relationships by communicating professionally, managing expectations, and balancing technical considerations with business priorities.
Translate complex technical information into practical, easy-to-understand explanations, enabling clients to make informed decisions regardless of their technical background.
THIS ROLE IS NOT A GOOD FIT IF YOU:
You are not confident communicating in English, both verbally and in writing, especially in client-facing conversations.
You have little or no experience communicating directly with clients or stakeholders, managing expectations, resolving concerns, or guiding conversations toward positive, mutually beneficial outcomes.
You rely heavily on corporate jargon, overly formal language, or AI tools to communicate instead of being able to explain ideas naturally, confidently, and conversationally.
You struggle to simplify technical concepts into language that non-technical clients can easily understand.
You are uncomfortable leading client meetings, answering difficult questions, or making technical recommendations with confidence.
You require constant direction or supervision to manage priorities, communicate progress, or make day-to-day technical decisions.
You expect frequent praise, recognition, or validation simply for completing your responsibilities. We value ownership, accountability, and professionals who take pride in delivering excellent work as the standard.
You become defensive when receiving constructive feedback or are unwilling to continuously learn and improve.
Prefer to wait for instructions instead of proactively solving problems.
You stop at "this won't work" instead of exploring alternatives.
Are only interested in coding and not understanding design, user experience, or project goals.
Avoid asking questions, seeking feedback, or collaborating with designers and project teams.
Are too shy to collaborate with designers, project managers, and other team members.
Struggle to manage priorities, deadlines, and attention to detail.
Are not comfortable learning new platforms, tools, or technologies.
Prefer working in isolation rather than being part of a collaborative production workflow.
Avoid detailed testing, troubleshooting, or taking ownership of fixing issues even to the minor requests.
Focus only on completing tasks rather than delivering quality digital experiences.
Have difficulty adapting to changing project requirements or feedback.
Lack professionalism in communication, documentation, and team collaboration.
Don't have a reliable internet connection, working setup, or professional communication environment.
Let ego get in the way of learning, feedback, or improving your craft.
